Actor Danny Trejo — known for playing the toughest of tough guys — shows his softer side over and over again, particularly during the coronavirus pandemic.

That was true again last week, as the “Machete” actor and restaurateur handed out food from his Trejo’s Tacos restaurant to folks in need amid the humbled recent economy.

In an event boosted by the Everest Foundation, Trejo’s Tacos handed out prepackaged meals at Kedren Community Health Center in Los Angeles.

Kedren’s programs have  helped needy and at-risk people in South L.A. for decades. The Everest Foundation funds a wide variety of medical research efforts. Both have boosted testing and other programs during the coronavirus crisis.

Trejo has become one of L.A’s busiest humanitarians and has been especially visible — and helpful — during the pandemic.
